The City Council of Oslo has previously stated that their goal is to establish more bathing areas and swimming facilities along the harbour and the fjord. A new possibility study, done by the Planning- and Building Agency in the city, now recommends turning the area of Sukkerbiten into a green oasis for the public.
If the politicians agree, this can create the opportunity for a sustainable, public sea pool.
This is well received by Nordic Urban. We want to contribute to inclusion, and the urban development of the city of Oslo. An all-year public sea pool for the city’s residents and visitors will create green, urban areas for people to enjoy and thrive in all year round. We are ready to create lasting values and good experiences for thousands of people in collaboration with the city’s politicians and soon as we get a green light, says Grünstein.
