Cardiff Council’s Cabinet has agreed to lease land for developing an Allas Pool hub at the Mount Stuart graving docks in the Cardiff Bay area. Nordic Urban’s aim is to breathe life into the currently little-used historic site by providing residents and visitors unique water-related experiences – all 365 days of the year.

The preliminary facility offering includes floating outdoor swimming pools, the opportunity to dip into natural water, saunas, a restaurant with ample outdoor seating areas, multipurpose spaces for indoor events and wellness programming, entertainment & cultural programming, and access to water sports activities.
Nordic Urban’s proposal will focus on the area in and around two of the Mount Stuart graving docks.
The project aligns with Cardiff’s strategy to further enhance Cardiff Bay as a leading UK destination for leisure, culture, and tourism.Other future investments in the area include a new indoor arena, Atlantic Wharf regeneration, and a tram connection.
